A day of charity with bourbon inspired food along with fantastic company and Makers Mark Bourbon...It doesn't get any better than that. The day from start to finish with some very caring individuals.
On September 19th, 2013 150 very lucky individuals were treated to an exclusive walking bourbon dinner tour through the entire Makers Mark distillery featuring entrees and cocktails cooked with and inspired by Maker’s™ or Maker’s 46®.
It was a one of kind event at Makers Mark with ALL proceeds benefiting the Louisville Apron charity which helps local restaurant employees in time of need. Corbetts, Jacks, Volare, and Theater Square Marketplace all provided Chefs, Bartenders and staff along with Jared Schubert from Monkey Wrench mixing it up and Jim Davis from Martini Italian Bistro working with me.
Those who purchased tickets were also treated to a private barrel tasting direct from the barrel with the Master Distiller along with a very special guest, Rob Samuels joining for desert giving his unique insights and answering questions.
In the end over $15,000 was raised and everyone had an outstanding time. Thank you to all who made it possible. Can't wait until next years.
