One of our exciting additions to this years Bourbon & Bowties is Chef Fernando Martinez, the Chef and co-owner of both Guaca Mole and Mussel & Burger Bar. Mussel & Burger Bar was a restaurant that I kept hearing about, but never personally experienced. There are evenings when this place goes on 1 to 2 hour waits.
So we stopped by to enjoy lunch and now we fully appreciate all the positive buzz. It is really that great. Chef Martinez has taken a simple burger and made it into culinary art. It taste as great as it looks and that's only the beginning of his outstanding menu items.
For those attending this years Bourbon & Bowties Chef Martinez is treating us to one of his signature dishes, Angus Beef sliders with confit tomatoes on brioche with a blue berry pie mini shake. Look closely and you'll get a glimpe of next weeks dish although the shake will be smaller.
