I was excited to be at Makers Mark Thursday enjoying the annual Apron Fundraiser and shooting photos. While shooting photos high above Makers Mark with Quad7 I came across something very interesting just outside their recently remodeled building.
From street level it looks like rolls of bushes, but up above it is a whole different story. I showed it to both Rob and Bill Samuels and they loved it too. They had never seen it this way, but were aware of it in the design plan.
They told me the plan is as it grows out it should be more visible at ground level, but this was an unexpected bonus. Next time you are at Makers Mark check it out.
If you have never been to the Makers Mark Apron Event, you are missing a fabulous time for a great cause. Apron helps independently owned local restaurant workers in their time of need. The annual Makers Mark Apron event held during Bourbon Festival Week helps make that possible.
Makers Mark in addition to hosting the event which includes a number of top chefs and bartenders scattered throughout the grounds in key positions donates back to Apron all ticket proceeds from the event. So not only can you go and enjoy Makers Mark in a VIP setting unlike any other, you are also giving back to a very worthwhile cause at the same time. A big win-win for everyone!
Bury it in your mind now and plan on going next year. It's a blast! I'll have many more photos ahead. Thank you Maker's Mark for your generosity and your hard working staff for making this possible.
