Spent some time with Scott today and the official business name is Scott's Village Market. There was a name change along the way.
One thing that hasn't changed is the family's enthusiasm for the business. I spent about 30 minutes with Scott and couldn't even attempt to remember all the things he plans to offer. Among many other things, he plans to offer prime and top choice meats. I bring this up because he will be smoking them too! Note the photo of Scott with his smoker which he plans to keep fired up with brisket and his many other fresh poultry and meats.
Scotty's Village Market will do their own baking, sell milk the old fashioned way in GLASS BOTTLES, offer ready to go dinners, full deli with many of their items prepared fresh in house, grocery items, fresh produce, and so much more. It will be a place to catch up with friends, enjoy a fresh baked pastry in the morning with freshly brewed coffee and weather permitting sit out on the sidewalk cafe and enjoy the day. Stay for lunch or come back and pick up something special for dinner too!
But it is much more than that. The key theme I heard over and over was convenience, freshness and quality. Scott's Village Market promises to be an outstanding addition to the community and if all goes well he may actually open on Meeting Street in Norton Commons to some degree next week.
Can't wait until opening day!!!
